The Queen's Award
In 2010, Prestwood Nature was awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
The Award consists of two items, a beautiful glass obelisk and a plaque signed by Her Majesty.
Prestwood Nature do not own any premises in which these can be displayed so each year the items are given over for safe keeping to one of the members who have given exceptional service to the association.
This year the award has gone to Jenny Smith in recognition of the many years she has supported Prestwood Nature, as Membership Secretary and then as General Secretary on the Prestwood Nature Council and as a regular supporter at the society's activities.
