Fungi are fascinating organisms with veryimportant roles in habitats – and they come in all shapes and forms. On thiswalk – on National Fungi Day – we will explore a range of species occurringlocally, learning about them in the process. The popular walk will be led byTony Marshall, who is one of the founders of Prestwood Nature and has an encyclopedic knowledge about UK flora and fauna, and particularly about local species and habitats. Details will be confirmed nearer the time. Meet at the Andlows Farm junction on Green Lane.
A guided walk looking at the changing hedgerows, woods and field-edges. Ideal for families with children, and for anyone who enjoys a gentle stroll in the countryside.
